Hi, I’m Martine!

After university, I found myself drawn to other florists’ work online and felt like I needed to explore this medium. Since then, I’ve taken courses close to home as well as abroad. Common to all the courses I’ve taken was a deep reverence for nature and the belief that a flower’s life is poetic. I definitely feel this each year. After a long winter without flowers, I’m always struck when they come back each spring and I remember why I dove into this world in the first place. 

At the heart of my floral philosophy lies a huge commitment to championing local flower growers and the beauty of locally grown blooms. I believe using locally sourced materials is the most thoughtful and sustainable way to design - allowing you to receive florals that are naturally aligned with the date of your event.

Some of the flowers sourced locally may be familiar to you. Many of them are longtime garden favourites that many people remember from their parents’ or grandparents’ backyards. I find this increases the emotion of wedding flowers: a bouquet can bring back memories and can even transport us back to special moments in our lives.  

While my signature style captures the charm of romantic gardens with an emphasis on form and movement, your florals will always reflect your vision! It’s an absolute joy to do what I do, and I can’t wait to create something beautiful for you.
